			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Services celebrating the life of Marty Sundvall, age 46 of St. Cloud will be 7 PM, Thursday, May 17, 2012 at Miller-Carlin Funeral Home of St. Cloud.  Marty died unexpectedly at his home early Sunday morning.  There will be a visitation from 4 PM until the time of the service Thursday, May 17<sup>th</sup> at the Miller-Carlin Funeral Home in St. Cloud.</p>
<p>Marty was born on December 12, 1965 to Frank and Irene (Smolz) Sundvall in St. Cloud.  He grew up in Hibbing, leaving after high school to move to St. Cloud for college.  His passion was sports journalism and he worked from the St. Cloud Times before teaching in the Mass Communications department at St. Cloud State.  Marty was a fixture within the SCSU community, due to his active involvement with KVSC, the Chronicle, and the Husky Hockey team.   Marty enjoyed sports, gathering with friends over poker or football drafts and will be most remembered for his infectious giggle.</p>
<p>Marty is survived by his mother, Irene Sundvall, Hibbing; his brother, Scott (Kristen) Sundvall, Hibbing; his niece and nephew, Hunter and Ethan, Hibbing; and many friends.</p>
<p>He is preceded in death by his father, Frank Sundvall, in 2003.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Funeral Services celebrating the life of Larry Allen Grimsley, age 54 of St. Joseph will be 5 PM, Saturday, May 19, 2012 at Life Assembly of God Church of St. Cloud.  Larry died peacefully in his sleep at his home early Sunday morning surrounded by his family after a long and hard fought battle with ALS.  There will be a visitation from 4-8 PM Friday, May 18<sup>th</sup> at the Miller-Carlin Funeral Home in St. Cloud and again from 4:30PM until the time of the service Saturday afternoon at the church.  There will be a prayer service Friday evening at the funeral home starting at 6PM.  Arrangements are being made with the Miller-Carlin Funeral Home of St. Cloud.</p>
<p>Larry was born on July 10, 1957 to Gerald and Janet (Kasper) Grimsley in St. Cloud.  He married Julie Nielsen on May 26<sup>th</sup>, 1979 in Wisconsin.  He lived his life in the St. Cloud area.  He worked as a welder, glazier, and metal fabricator for East Side Glass for twenty years and ten years for Heartland Glass.  Larry was a very active member of his church, working with various ministries at Life Assembly of God Church of St. Cloud.  Larry enjoyed his summers serving guests and making friends at Hunky Dory Resort.</p>
<p>Larry is survived by his loving wife Julie Grimsley, St. Joseph; his children Angela Grimsley, Circle Pines, MN; Andrew (Samantha) Grimsley, St. Michael; Amanda Grimsley, Circle Pines, MN; his mother Janet Grimsley, St. Cloud; his two grand-daughters Sydney and Allegra Grimsley;  and his siblings Gloria (Skip) Dukowitz, Illinois; Jean (Ed) Graham, Detroit Lakes; Rita, Brainerd; Sharon Tholl, Sauk Rapids; Dale Grimsley, Detroit Lakes; Kenny (Judy) Grimsley, St. Cloud; and Doug (Lynda) Grimsley, Fridley.</p>
<p>He is preceded in death by his father Gerald Grimsley who passed away in 1988 and his brother Jerry Grimsley in 2011.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Funeral services celebrating the life of Verna Elizabeth Koehn, age 92 of Albany will be 10:30 AM, Monday, May 14, 2012 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Albany.  Pastor Brad Pearson will officiate and burial will take place in the parish cemetery following the service.  Verna died peacefully in her sleep early Thursday morning in Dayton, MN.  There will be a visitation from 4 &#8211; 8 PM Sunday, May 13, 2012 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, and again from 9:30  AM until the time of the service Monday morning at the church.  Arrangements are being made with the Miller-Carlin Funeral Home in Albany.</p>
<p>Verna was born August 13, 1918 to Paul and Rose (Baggenstoss) Klein in Holdingford.  She married Waldemar Koehn on December 31, 1938 in St. Cloud.  She lived her entire live in the Albany/Holdingford area.  Before she was married, Verna worked as a nanny in Chicago and Lake Minnetonka and after marriage as a housekeeper for St. John’s University and also as a janitor for the Albany Elementary School before finally retiring in 2006.  She was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Albany.</p>
<p>Verna is survived by her children Richard (Diane) Koehn, Holdingford; Arnold (Leslie) Koehn, Washington; Roger (Ardell) Koehn, Upsala; Duane (Diane) Koehn, Battle Lake; Patricia (Tom) Davison, Battle Lake; Jane Gardner, Dayton; her 20 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren; and her siblings Ervin (Ruth) Klein, Albany; Arlene Landowski, Albany; Ardell Rustad, Albany; Doris (Ted) Koehn, Grey Eagle; Beverly (Don) Lichy, Holdingford; Janet (Lester) Cigelske, Hewitt; Carol (Jerry) Rodenwald, Albany; Sharon (Loren) Lehner, Albany.</p>
<p>She is preceded in death by her parents Rose and Paul Klein, her husband Waldemar Koehn who passed away in 1995, her grandsons Kenneth Koehn, Dale Koehn, her great-grandson Joshua Koehn, her siblings Rose Christen, Erma Henry, Amanda Wren, Bernice Koehn, Hildegard Henry, Lloyd Klein, Marvin Klein, Earl Klein, Jerry Klein, Alvin Klein, and her son-in-law David Gardner.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Funeral services celebrating the life of Elmer “Al” Bernard Cremers, age 90 of St. Cloud will be 11AM, Monday, April 30, 2012 at the Miller-Carlin Funeral Chapel in St. Cloud.  Father Al Stangl will officiate, and burial will take place at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery following the service.  Elmer died peacefully at the St. Cloud Hospital surrounded by his family Thursday morning.  There will be a visitation from 4-7PM Sunday, April 29, 2012 at the Miller Carlin Funeral Home in St. Cloud and from 10 AM until the time of the service Monday once again at the funeral home in St. Cloud.  Parish prayers will take place at 6PM Sunday evening at the funeral home.  Arrangements are being made with the Miller-Carlin Funeral Home of St. Cloud.</p>
<p>Elmer “Al” was born October 12<sup>th</sup> 1921 in St. Cloud to John and Catherine (Fladung) Cremers.  Elmer “Al” served three years in the U.S. Marine Corps where he spent 27 months overseas in the South Pacific during WWII.  He was a member of the Ancient Order of the Deep where he crossed the equator on the U.S.S. President Monroe Ship in 1942.  After his time in the Marines, he served an additional two years in the U.S. Army.  He married Mary Lou Schneider on June 24, 1947 in St. Cloud.  Elmer “Al” graduated from St. Cloud State University with a bachelor’s degree in Teaching and his later attained his master’s degree in Psychology.  He worked as a licensed psychologist and certified counselor.  For three years he worked for Manpower Development and Training Department of Human Services.  He later worked for the Veterans Administration in the Counseling Psychology department for twenty eight years.  His teaching career started at Staples High School but later moved to St. Cloud State and St. John’s University where he worked as an adjunct professor of psychology.  He also taught as an instructor for American Arbitrators Society in Mediation as well as workshops related to Meyers-Briggs Personality Indicator Assessments.   Elmer “Al” most recently was co-partner with Donna Winskowski in a mediation firm that specialized in parenting, family problems, business disputes, and marriage dissolution called Turning Point.  Besides teaching and counseling, Elmer “Al” also worked in traffic control and accounting for the St. Regis Paper Mill, was a personnel manager at Fingerhut, and owned and operated a private retail business.  Elmer “Al” was very active in the community as well.  He was the chairman of the first St. Cloud Home Show and Pioneer Days.  He was active in the Boys and Girls Club of St. Cloud, and Boy Scouts.  He was also a past president of the Granite City Toastmasters and a member of St. Michaels Catholic Church in St. Cloud.  Elmer’s favorite past times included reading, keeping up on current events, music, walking his beloved dog Mac, taking pride in his cars, and enjoying the beauty of nature including the birds and wildlife in his own backyard.  He took great pride in his work, but took the greatest pride in his family.  He loved his family, his grandchildren, and his great-grandchildren.  The little ones always made him smile.  He will always be remembered for that big smile, his blue eyes, and his strong hand shake.</p>
<p>Elmer “Al” is survived by his children Lynda (Ronald) Theisen, St. Cloud; Mary Jo (Ed Lammersen) Cremers, St. Cloud; Jeffry Cremers, St. Cloud; and his grandchildren Chris Theisen, Chad (Yinka) Theisen, Ryan (Naomi) Theisen, Jennifer (Robert “Skip”) Holt, Danielle Cremers, Chelsea Cremers, Nicole Cremers; and his great grandchildren Blake, Trenton, Taelyn, and Ava Jean Theisen, Obehili Aimuan, and Chloe Cremers.</p>
<p>He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Lou Cremers who passed away in 2005, his parents John and Katherine Cremers, his half-brothers Lambert, Joseph, and Jerry Cremers, and his faithful dog Mac.</p>

<p>Paul was born August 2, 1963 in Minneapolis to Dale and Joan (Brennecke) Grimmer.  He grew up in Rogers but has lived the past ten years of his life in the St. Cloud area.  He married Paula Reisdorf on January 28, 1989 in Las Vegas, NV.  He worked as a Sales Manager for McClain Forest Products.  Paul showed his love and respect for his country by proudly serving as a member of the Patriot Guard, he was also a member of the Minnesota Wings chapter of the Gold Wings Club, and was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in St. Cloud.</p>
<p>Paul celebrated his life by actively supporting and participating in all of Gabe and Sami’s sports and activities.  He enjoyed spending time outdoors, camping with friends, and motorcycling, but above all, he loved spending time with his family.</p>
<p>Paul is survived by his wife Paula Grimmer, St. Cloud; his children Gabriel Grimmer, St. Cloud; Samantha Grimmer, St. Cloud; his mother Joan Grimmer, Pine River; and his siblings Vicki (Don Walz) Grimmer, South Haven; John (Kim Helmer) Grimmer, Elk River; Mark (Wendy) Grimmer, Elk River; and Mathew Grimmer, Pine River.  He is also survived by his pets Buddy and Olive</p>
<p>Paul was preceded in death  by his father, Dale Grimmer, who passed away in 1993.</p>
<p>Paul’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Dave and Kathy Hoffman family for their love and support through this difficult time.</p>

Soltis, age 90 of Holdingford will be 10:30 AM, Wednesday, April 18<sup>th</sup>, 2012 at All Saints Catholic Church (St. Hedwigs location).  Father Robert Rolfes will officiate and burial will take place in the parish cemetery following the service.  Arnold died peacefully at the St. Cloud VA Saturday morning surrounded by his family.  There will be a visitation from 9AM until the time of the service Wednesday morning at the church.  Arrangements are being made with the Miller-Carlin Funeral Home in Holdingford.</p>
<p>Arnold was born April 28<sup>th</sup>, 1921 to George and Cecelia (Heisick) Soltis in Des Moines, IA.  He grew up on a farm near Holdingford, and lived his entire life in the Holdingford area.  Arnold married Corrine Schneider on August 25<sup>th</sup>, 1952 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Holdingford.  Arnold grew up working on a farm, but after attaining his teaching degree from St Cloud State Univeristy, he worked as a teacher in the central Minnesota area, a police officer for the city of Holdingford, and was also a co-owner of Kraemer-Soltis International Harvester until finally retiring in 1975.  Arnold was a member of the Knights of Columbus, and All Saints Catholic Church in Holdingford.</p>
<p>Arnold is survived by his children Mary Soltis, Sitka, AK; Kathy (Greg) Waletzko, Holdingford; John Soltis, Holdingford; Patrick (Julie) Soltis, Hoschton, GA; Nancy (Ron) Stewart, Elmdale; and his 8 grandchildren Susan, Tim, Michael, Breeanna, Abria, Mackenzie, Samantha, and Jake.</p>
<p>He is preceded in death by his parents George and Cecelia Soltis, his siblings Laverne “Red” Soltis and Georgia Arradondo, and his loving wife Corrine Soltis.</p>

Koopmeiners, age 93 (six days short of her 94<sup>th</sup> birthday) of St. Francis will be 11AM, Thursday, April 19, 2012 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in St. Francis.  Father Michael Kellogg will officiate, and burial will take place in the parish cemetery following the service.  Verena died peacefully Friday evening at Bethany Community in Alexandria.  There will be a visitation from 4-9PM, Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at the Miller-Carlin Funeral Home in Albany, and again from 10AM until the time of the service Thursday morning at the church in St. Francis.  Parish prayers will take place at 7 PM followed by the Christian Mothers praying the Rosary at 8 PM Wednesday evening at the funeral home.  Arrangements are being made with the Miller-Carlin Funeral Home in Albany.</p>
<p>Verena was born April 19, 1918 to Frank and Anna (Vornbrock) Roering in New Munich.  She grew up in New Munich but lived her life in the St. Francis area until moving to Mercy Manor in Albany for the past few years.  She married John A. Koopmeiners on October 6<sup>th</sup>, 1943 in New Munich.  The couple farmed together until they retired when Verena worked as a cook for the Upsala Senior Center.  Verena had a variety of hobbies which she dedicated a lot of passion to including her large garden, her beautiful quilts, many of which she donated to the church, an assortment of crocheted kitchen towels, and delicious baked bread and canned goods.  Family  was very important to Verena.  She cherished the time spent with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchild.  She was an avid member of the Sewing Circle, Christian Mothers, and the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church where she lead the rosary for years.</p>
<p>Verena is survived by her children Bernelda (Maurice) Goeser, Upsala; John (Toni) Koopmeiners Jr., Reno, NV; Theresa (Richard) Hollermann, Farwell; Mary Ann (Alvin) Eickhoff, Albany; Frank (Joyce) Koopmeiners, Upsala; her siblings Winnifred Koopmeiners, New Munich; Evelyn Overman, Waite Park; Eileen (Vern) Sand, Avon; Annella (Art) Borgerding, St. Cloud; her 19 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.</p>
<p>She is preceded in death by her parents Frank and Anna Roering, her husband John Koopmeiners, her infant daughter Mary Koopmeiners; her siblings Leona Dufner, Catherine Geise, Erwin Roering, and Alfred Roering.  She is also preceded by her grandson Daryl Goeser.</p>

Nouis, age 53 of Upsala, will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 14 at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Upsala.  Burial will be in the parish cemetery.  Mark died unexpectedly at his home in Upsala.   There will be a visitation after 10:00 AM Saturday at the church.  Arrangements are being made by the Miller-Carlin Funeral Home of Upsala.</p>
<p>Mark was born May 9, 1958 in Little Falls to Damon and Virginia (Heisick) Nouis.  He has been in the Upsala area his entire life.  He worked in the concrete business until a few years ago.  Mark was an avid fisherman. </p>
<p>Mark is survived by his sisters, Jeanette Nelson, Osseo; Shari (Anthony) Marchand, Maple Grove; Renee (Sam) Jurgens, Sartell; Peggy Bach, Brooklyn Center; Sally (Sam) Colgrove, Fayetteville, AR; Melanie Trombetta, Des Moines, IA; Pamela Nouis, Little Falls; his brothers, Greg (Sandi) Nouis, Elk River; Steve (Judy) Nouis, Grey Eagle; Paul Nouis, Burtrum; John (Sheron) Nouis, Galliano, LA and numerous nieces and nephews.</p>
<p>Mark is preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother.</p>

<p>Brandon is preceded in death by his grandfather, Don Boyd, and uncle, Sean Dempsey.</p>
